I would take it into a shop that specialises in fish and has good staff, and
get them to recommend something.Or as a first pass, just take the picture
in. It certainly looks pretty nasty! Post where you live/work, people may
be able to recommend a good place local to you.

I've had three fish with similar growths, though I think it's either an
ulcerated wound or some sort of fungal attack. But whatever it is, the
problem is the slow recovery when a fish damages itself. AFAIK, all you can
do is help aid recovery - boost its immunity system - so I use Bacterad Pond
Aid for 'Finrot, Ulcers and Flukes' - I'm sure there are many other
treatments. One of my wounded fish completely recovered after four days -
the other two died after spending a week or so near the surface. The real
problem would seem to be in treating the fish early enough.

I would isolate it from the other fish as soon as possible.

I am certainly no expert but it looks like something I had a few years ago
which I got from a disreputable fish seller and it killed nearly all my
fish.

It is difficult to say it is that but it looks like it.

Mine was an ulceration that deepened and actually ate through the fish where
ever on the fish it showed and the outer coating was just the normal fungal
infection that happens over most wounds like that.

I used an antibacterial and and ante fungal medication but it only worked on
one fish and only then when I administered it topically every day. The sad
side to that was after saving it it went on to live for three more years
before a stoke got him, guess I should have named him lucky.

If you see any other fish getting it remove them from the main pond without
delay, if it is the same thing it spreads like wildfire.

Good luck.
