I am trying to get hold of some bitterlings. I kept them years ago when they
were plentiful. Now they seem very rare.
Anyone know of any for sale?
Thanks.
Ray.

You need a license to sell them, so you are unlikely to find a seller.

However - see
http://www.4qd.org/PAWL/Burwell

They abound in the lode and I could catch some for you if you care to
defray expenses. Where are you?

A bit difficult to send fish by post... Also illegal!

I don't know of any other place in England where bitterlings have
naturalised - though they may be in a few private ponds.

If you're ever down Cambridge way, contact me!
